I’m Patrick Cahill, an engineering leader and hands-on software architect based in Tampa. I work at the point where business priorities, engineering execution, and technical architecture have to become one operating system.

I co-founded Script and led its technology organization from the first product through its acquisition by LINQ. We built a multi-tenant workflow platform for K–12 school systems while establishing the engineering, security, deployment, and operational practices required to serve public-sector customers.

Following the acquisition, my responsibility expanded from one product and an established team to three products, multiple engineering managers, and teams with different development histories. I worked with those leaders to establish shared definitions of ready and done, make delivery risk visible, improve collaboration with Product, and create a more predictable weekly delivery cadence without relying on heroics.

At Outbound, I have remained close to the architecture and code while leading the development of an AI-powered marketing platform. My current focus is making AI-assisted engineering repeatable: behavior-first tests as executable contracts, architectural fitness functions, and deterministic quality and security gates that let teams move faster without lowering standards.

I am most useful when a company needs its engineering function to mature, acquired teams and products to operate coherently, or an AI strategy to become measurable operating leverage. I am comfortable discussing investment priorities and delivery risk with executive teams and investors, then working directly with managers and engineers to make the necessary changes real.

Earlier work across software and media earned nine Telly Awards, recognition as a 2024 Webby Award Honoree, and a Regional Emmy nomination. I graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida.
